WMQG exists to:

Q uilt using many Needle Arts techniques.
U nite as supportive, collaborating artisans,
I nstruct to develop confident quilters who enjoy the craft,
L earn for mastery of design and construction techniques,
T urn over quilts to warm, comfort and thank our Community

We are a group dedicated to the craft of quilting utilizing a variety of needle art techniques. As a non-profit organization we return all proceeds back into making quilts to support the community. The approximately 40 WMQG members obtain great joy in donating Quilts to honor Wallowa County Veterans, welcoming quilts for every baby born at Wallowa Memorial Hospital and comforting our neighbors in crisis such as after a fire.

Other activities the guild sponsors include BOM-Block OF the Month quilts, yearly Challenge quilt, encouraging each other to finish UFOs, two retreats, twice monthly workdays, and an annual raffle quilt given away at the Quilt Show held the first full weekend in June in beautiful Joseph, Oregon, sharing Saturday with the Oregon Mountain Cruise Car Show. Members of the guild have been donating a handmade vehicle themed quilt for them to raffle off to defer costs for the show.
